The Appleton Estate was established in Jamaica, over 265 years ago. The 12 year old Extra blend, spends a minimum of 12 years, maturing in oak casks. It has a rich, bronze colour, with aromas of walnuts, orange peel and vanilla. On the palate the rum has flavours of buttery, creamy, brown sugar. The nose holds mature scents of walnuts, nutmeg, orange peel and vanilla, leading into a palate of buttery, creamy brown sugar. Finishes bittersweet.
A blend of several rums aged between 12 and 18 years in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills.
