The Château du Caillau Cahors is a 100% Malbec, 50% was aged in stainless steel tanks and 50% in barriques. Philippe Bernede is aiming at a tamed Cahors, who can be drunk relatively young, but also develops in the bottle for many years. 2019 is considered a great vintage in the Cahors, which combines strength, abundance and ripe tannins
