Grape: 100% Sangiovese Grosso sourced from 8ha of organic vineyards around Montalcino, wild yeast fermentation, aged for 2 years in oak. This wine has the potential to age for many decades gaining considerably in complex herbal notes, leather and tobacco.
The property, Col di Lamo, now owned by Giovanna Neri, is located at the northeast corner of the appellation, in an area that has performed nicely in some of the warmer vintages of the past years, thanks to the cooler microclimate found here. Farming is organic.
